Before HR and L&D teams book AI training, they usually ask me two things: what does it cost, and is there funding? This article answers the first with prices that providers publish themselves, and the second with the official scheme rules.

**Short answer:** it depends on the format. On providers' own pages checked on 20 October 2026, a seat on a one-day public AI course costs HK$2,464 to HK$3,329 per person, a 77-minute online HKPC Academy programme costs HK$100, and private one-to-one coaching starts at HK$1,200 for one hour. In-house training for a team is usually quoted after a scoping call; one provider's worked example puts a two-day programme for 20 people at HKD 120,000. The NITTP scheme can reimburse an employer up to half of the cost of eligible advanced-technology training, up to HK$250,000 per company each financial year.

## Why most in-house training has no price list

A public course sells the same day to many people, so it can show one price per seat. In-house training is built for one team, so the price depends on what that team needs. Of the nine providers in my [comparison of corporate AI training providers in Hong Kong](https://hyperfocusam.com/blog/corporate-ai-training-providers-hong-kong/), most quote team training only after a scoping call, and so do I.

## What drives an in-house quote

When I quote, three things set the price: the session length, the group size and how much of the content has to be adapted to your team. Other things worth settling before you compare quotes:

- **Format.** A 45-minute talk, a half-day hands-on workshop and a programme over several weeks are different purchases. Compare like with like.
- **Preparation.** Exercises built on your team's real tasks take more preparation than a standard deck. Ask what is included.
- **Language and materials.** Ask whether teaching and handouts are in Cantonese, English or both, and whether translation costs extra.
- **Follow-up.** Check-ins after the main session cost time, but they are usually where people start using AI in their own work.
- **Tools.** Training does not include software. If your team will use Microsoft 365 Copilot, the licences are a separate cost; see [Microsoft Copilot training: count the licences first](https://hyperfocusam.com/blog/microsoft-copilot-training-hong-kong/).

## Government funding: NITTP

The New Industrialisation and Technology Training Programme (NITTP) is the one government scheme that pays the employer back for staff training in advanced technology. Under the rules in force from 1 August 2025, it matches employer spending 1:1, up to HK$250,000 per company each financial year. It is paid as a reimbursement after training, with an option to receive 50% of the approved grant in advance.

Timing affects your budget. A tailor-made course application must be submitted at least four months before the start date, and the grant application must be submitted at least five weeks before. The claim is due within two months after the course ends. The NITTP Secretariat decides eligibility, not the trainer.

The Continuing Education Fund (CEF) and the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) support individual learners, not the company. The Technology Voucher Programme (TVP) stopped accepting applications after 31 December 2024, so a cost example that assumes TVP funding no longer applies. The full rules are in [government funding for corporate AI training in Hong Kong](https://hyperfocusam.com/blog/government-funding-corporate-ai-training-hong-kong/).

## Group discounts

No government scheme gives a group discount. Group pricing is agreed with the training provider, so ask for a quote for your headcount and format. If you plan to use NITTP, any discount is deducted from the grant, and a provider must not charge NITTP trainees more than other trainees for the same course.

## How to compare two quotes

- Put both on the same unit: per person, per session or per programme.
- List what each includes: preparation, materials, follow-up and any assessment.
- Ask each provider for one complete classroom exercise before you sign. I explain why in [five questions to ask a provider](https://hyperfocusam.com/blog/five-questions-corporate-ai-training-hong-kong/).

## Where I fit

I do not publish a fee band. I quote by session length, group size and how much the content has to be adapted, and you receive a written quotation once we have agreed the scope. To start, tell me about your team on the [corporate AI training page](https://hyperfocusam.com/corporate-ai-training-hong-kong/).

## FAQ

### How much does corporate AI training cost in Hong Kong?

On providers' own pages checked on 20 October 2026, a one-day public AI course costs HK$2,464 to HK$3,329 per person, and private one-to-one coaching starts at HK$1,200 for one hour. In-house training for a team is usually quoted after a scoping call; one provider's worked example is HKD 120,000 for a two-day programme for 20 people.

### Why do most corporate AI trainers not publish prices?

In-house training is built around one team's work, so the price depends on session length, group size and how much content has to be adapted. Most providers quote after a scoping call instead of listing a price.

### Is there government funding for corporate AI training in Hong Kong?

Some employers may be eligible for NITTP, which reimburses up to half of the cost of advanced-technology staff training, up to HK$250,000 per company each financial year. The NITTP Secretariat decides eligibility, and both the course and the grant must be approved before training starts.

### Is there a group discount?

No government scheme gives a group discount. Group pricing is agreed with the provider. Under NITTP, any discount is deducted from the grant.

### Do Copilot licences cost extra?

Yes. Training does not include software. Microsoft lists Microsoft 365 Copilot separately from the Microsoft 365 plan; the current prices are in [Microsoft Copilot training: count the licences first](https://hyperfocusam.com/blog/microsoft-copilot-training-hong-kong/).
