The Hong Kong Jockey Club · Management trainees · AI for business communication
Two days on AI as a tool for thinking and communicating, not just drafting.
The Club's Management Trainee Programme rotates future leaders through departments. Over two days, trainees practised the three-layer Text-to-Impact framework on memos, briefings and stakeholder emails.

The brief
These trainees did not need automation. They needed to communicate strategically, and to understand where AI fits in that.
How it was designed
- Layer one, precision: name the audience, scope and format. Layer two, structure: define the output framework before the model fills it. Layer three, context: role simulation that accounts for the reader and the politics between departments.
- ChatGPT for open-ended work; Microsoft Copilot, integrated with Office, for memos, decks and reports; Perplexity for research-backed prompts.
