Hong Kong Government AI Training Support
The 2026-27 Budget earmarked HK$50 million for AI literacy and established a Committee on AI+ chaired by the Financial Secretary. While most measures target public awareness rather than corporate training, several funding paths are available:
- NITTP — The New Industrialisation and Technology Training Programme, formerly RTTP. Since 1 August 2025 it matches 1:1 rather than 2:1 — half your course fee — capped at HK$250,000 per company per financial year, one course per trainee per year. The course must be registered with the VTC first.
- BUD Fund — Up to HK$7 million cumulative per company, with fast-track Easy BUD applications capped at HK$150,000 each. From 15 June 2026 it carries targeted support for projects involving AI elements. Training can sit inside a funded project; a standalone workshop is not eligible on its own.
- ERB — The Employees Retraining Board is adding AI application courses to its curriculum for employed workers.
The Technology Voucher Programme is often mentioned in this context and has been closed to new applications since 31 December 2024.
Don’t wait for government programs to be fully rolled out. The companies that invest in structured AI training now are the ones whose second department asks for it.

How much does corporate AI training cost in Hong Kong?
Every engagement is quoted after a free 30-minute discovery call — scope depends on headcount, language, and follow-through. Half-day awareness workshops, full-day productivity sessions, and multi-week Pioneer Programs are all available. Some programs may qualify for NITTP, which matches 1:1 up to HKD 250,000 per company per financial year. TVP, still named in most provider FAQs, closed to new applications on 31 December 2024.
Are workshops available in Cantonese?
Yes. I deliver workshops in both English and Cantonese. Materials can be provided in English, Traditional Chinese, or bilingual formats. Most Hong Kong corporate clients prefer Cantonese delivery with English materials.
